Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Chief of Administration, Columbia Health, the Manager is responsible for supporting centralized functions of Columbia Health across the organization. Responsibilities include administering contracts, enforcing contract requirements, client management, and project reporting including correspondences, budget, and schedule. In partnership with Columbia University Facilities Departments, the Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality services to the public facing units while maximizing the efficient use of University resources.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience required; preferably in project management, with strong preference for physical plan operations and the delivery of maintenance service. Knowledge of the practices, methods, and equipment utilized in all phase of facility maintenance, including familiarity with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, monitoring and control systems preferred. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills to work effectively in a strong service environment that is subject to changing priorities. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow-through on assignments with minimal direction.
This position typically involves moderate to heavy physical activity and exertion, including heavy lifting.
