1.Responsible for performing routine maintenance of commercial kitchen, HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and/or the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate. 2.Use electrical test devices to troubleshoot and repair chiller electrical control circuits. 3.Independently overhaul small reciprocal compressors, larger reciprocal, absorption, and centrifugal compressors. 4.Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. 5.Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent and four years experience. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Associates degree from an accredited college.
Three years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of Commercial Kitchen, HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
E.P.A. 608 Refrigerant certification
Ability to act as a lead technician and provide guidance to other technicians.
Proven track record in facilities maintenance.
Ability to effectively communicate the English language (reading, writing, interpretation and comprehension) required.
Effective skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
Knowledge and skill with Google Chrome, Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs.
Ability to effectively work/interact with persons from different backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork.
