The Program Developer is responsible for planning and maintaining Continuing Education classes for both professional and personal development. This position works closely with other program team members and the Operations Team in developing, scheduling and implementing current offerings and new initiatives. The Program Developer is involved with program management including needs-assessments, administration of program areas, program analysis/selection, analysis of trends and research, new program development, and the procurement and management of learning facilitators. This position has primary responsibility for the program areas in industrial technology including welding, CNC machining, auto body, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and construction related fields. Position requires some knowledge in one or more of these areas. Position also requires a great deal of creativity, high energy, resourcefulness, and excellent marketing skills.
Administer and schedule continuing education training programs for appropriate occupational fields and industries and subject areas as assigned. Requires ability to assess local and regional educational needs. This position has primary responsibility for the program areas in industrial technology including welding, CNC machining, auto body, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and construction related fields.
Utilize LERN tools, benchmarks, and formulas to market program offerings, determine pricing, evaluate current offerings including enrollment trends and cancellation rates, and develop new courses/programs.
Monitor and analyze budget revenue projections, program expenses, maintain appropriate operating margins and other benchmarks in support of CE&TS Department Strategic Plans.
Maintain continuing client and student relationships by providing quality customer service.
Responsible for recruitment of learning facilitators and appropriate management of learning facilitators.
Work with Continuing Education Technical Support Specialist for technical needs and development of online and hybrid course offerings.
Perform other related work duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
AAS degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
Must have minimum of three years full-time experience in an educational or business setting with experience in training, instructional design or program management
