Conducts and directs custodial, housekeeping and/or groundskeeping duties to keep buildings or grounds in a clean and orderly condition. Travel required.
45% - Essential - Groundskeeping: Plans work schedules, assigns tasks to groundskeepers and reviews work to ensure that it was completed properly. Mows grass and weed eats the grounds. Keeps grounds clean and orderly. Rakes leaves and keeps grounds free of debris. Plants, fertilizes, trims and waters lawns, flowers, shrubbery and trees as needed. Spraying and pulling weeds, landscaping as directed. Trains staff on proper use of equipment and performance of duties.
20% - Essential - Custodial: Plans work schedules and assigns tasks to custodial workers and reviews work to ensure that it was completed properly. Cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and stairways. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums all areas as needed. Replenish supplies, i.e. paper-towels, toilet paper as necessary. Assist in the set-up and breakdown for functions held at the facility. Collect trash throughout the facility.
15% - Essential - Repairs: Perform minor repairs as directed by the site director and/or the facilities manager. Performs motorpool inspections. Replace light bulbs. Upkeep of machinery, i.e. lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws and other equipment used, spark plugs, and routine maintenance periodically. Change oil, and air filters as scheduled. Updates and submits vehicle logs on a monthly basis.
15% - Essential - Improvements: Assist in any improvements/construction on the site. Assist in the maintenance and repair of all existing structures and new structures (cleaning, painting, light electrical work, plumbing, patching drywall). Maintain an inventory of all maintenance equipment and tools.
5% - Essential - Other Duties: All other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
A high school diploma and custodial or groundskeeping experience directly related to the area of employment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as Lead - Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
