PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center is in need of a Hospital Engineer to support our beautiful Bellingham, WA location with equipment maintenance for our healthcare system. This position provides for variable shifts:
Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment; monitors condition and performance of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and devices.
Repairs and maintains building structures.
Makes daily rounds in areas of responsibility for maintenance work and performs repairs according to department procedures.
Coordinates activities and documentation to accomplish goals of the department ensuring an efficient operating department.
4 years total maintenance experience required.
Two years of experience in hospital maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Formal mechanical training by one or more of the following approaches: trade school, apprenticeship or military school or training.
Building Operator Certification preferred.
