Teach a full-time (32 credits per year) load of college-level courses in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR).
Teach and test skills in an on-campus laboratory setting.
Teach day and evening courses.
Develop and revise courses and instructional materials for both lecture and laboratory courses.
Assess student outcomes at the course, department and college levels.
Provide quality instruction and services to a very diverse student population.
Serve as faculty advisor for the Department's students who participate in SkillsUSA competitions.
Participate actively in HVACR Department and School of Trade Technologies meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committees.
Establish, cultivate, and maintain collegial and cooperative work relationships with colleagues in the Department, Department academic advisors, administrators, support staff, and all College personnel.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities and professional association memberships.

Diploma or the completion of an apprenticeship in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration installation and repair.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in residential or commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration installation and repair.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Faculty shall have a degree in education or three years of successful full-time (or equivalent) teaching experience prior to being hired, or shall be required to complete coursework in the above content areas (or their equivalent) prior to being granted unlimited status.
