Facilities and Property Management (FPM) is recruiting for a Journeyman Plumber to support the maintenance and operation of PSU's nine residential buildings. This position will perform all plumbing work related to campus residential building and assist Facilities and Property Management’s other maintenance shops as necessary in support of the University's mission.
FPM is pleased to serve all members of the Portland State University (PSU) community. The facilities and grounds at PSU consist of over 5 million square feet of facilities and approximately 50 acres of grounds.
Valid driver's license. Journey level skill in using manual and power tools. Ability to communicate effectively with the diverse campus community and staff in the performance of work. Proven ability to perform the physical requirements of the job as mentioned in Working Conditions described in the Additional Information section of this posting. Must be able to perform in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Must have excellent customer service skills and sensitivity to student schedules. Must be a team player. Must be able to be on-call and respond to after-hours emergencies. Must pass a criminal background check.
