We are working with a large, high volume manufacturer to identify a Maintenance Manager. Located in the greater Pittsburgh area, this company offers a highly dynamic environment, emerging culture, and a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for oversight, maintenance, and management of the equipment, buildings, and grounds for our client’s multi-building campus. He or she will directly supervise maintenance and facilities staff across 3 shifts and 2 buildings. This role requires a tenacious engineer and maintenance manager with a proven track record of maintaining complex and diverse production equipment, as well as, experience managing facility projects, including vendor and contractor coordination. The ideal candidate will be a strong and energetic leader with a keen focus on Preventive Maintenance.
Leads and directs maintenance staff in day-to-day operations of the Maintenance and Facilities teams.
Schedules all maintenance duties through maintenance staff and outside contractors.
Owns the facility’s cloud based CMMS program, which handles all work order scheduling, parts management, contracted activity and reporting.
Responsible for Facility Maintenance and Operation, including security systems, sprinkler systems, HVAC, etc.
Provides direction to external housekeeping and janitorial services.
Acts as a first responder for facility wide emergencies.
Designs and fabricates parts for emergency repairs.
Active member of the Corporate Safety Committee.
Delegates work orders and instructions to maintenance staff in a timely manner.
Ensures spare part inventory is managed effectively.
Manages facility and maintenance budgets on a monthly basis.
Performs monthly fire pump tests and other life safety checks as required.
Orders new equipment as needed and/or has equipment repaired.
Assists operations team with fabrication and installation services.
Monitors departmental and individual performance by providing appropriate feedback, encouragement and discipline when necessary in order to facilitate department improvements and control.
Oversees and improves staff morale through positive example and a solution-oriented approach towards problem solving.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
BS in Engineering required; Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervision experience in a manufacturing setting required.
Extensive experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
Experience managing in an environment that emphasizes preventive maintenance.
Working knowledge of a CMMS program required; Maintenance Pro preferred.
Experience managing and executing facility projects.
Ability to manage simultaneous projects and initiatives while sustaining day to day activities.
Ability to interpretation blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Working knowledge of life safety and NFPA70 fire protection standards.
Must be available for on call support for emergencies.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
