Performs a variety of general maintenance and repair of equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge, in such trades as roofing, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. Utilizing knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while working on plant facilities using hand and power tools as directed. Troubleshoots equipment or facilities issues and reports them to the Group Facilitator. Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, OSHA, etc.) as well as Rockwell/Rockwell Automation policies and procedures, including Standards of Conduct.
Repairs. installs, disassembles, troubleshoots and maintains electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, or other building systems and equipment (including parking lot and grounds). Tasks may be performed in conjunction with outside contractors.
Sets-up, operates, troubleshoot and maintains facility production equipment, material handling equipment and building equipment.
Performs or coordinates with contractors maintenance on company vehicles.
Uses schematics or prints, and repair manuals, to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Uses computers and/or manual documentation to record work, monitor equipment performance, order parts, and complete other tasks.
Utilizes basic mathematics, written and verbal skill, and visual aids to effectively understand instruction, complete tasks, and communicate with employees.
Performs overall facility responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management. Can accept responsibility for 24 hour availability for telephone consultation and/or returning to the facility to resolve critical issues. Can schedules work hours, and off time to maintain workflow in a specific area and meet customer demands.
Works professionally with maintenance team, associates and support staff
Exercises judgment for proper use of equipment and processes, to recognize and segregate defective/unusual conditions and to recognize and avoid unsafe practices and conditions.
Monitor and help administer housekeeping initiative of the facility.
