To manage the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning activities for the Trustees of Boston University, utilizing in-house trades workers andvendors. Maintenance repair and operation of facilities. Optimize operating efficiency of equipment and systems to conserve utilities. Apply for permits through Inspectional Services Department and Boston Fire Department. Administers E.P.A. guidelines for environmental aspect of refrigeration (CFC, HCFC, etc.) and heating systems.
B.A./B.S. required, mechanical engineering, management, and/or MEP operations preferred. Engineering license preferred. Eight plus years experience w/ HVAC systems and 5-7 years' experience with management of 25+ union licensed trades on all mechanical equipment and systems. HVAC license, pipe fitters license, OSHA-10 required. CFC recovery license from EPA and DDC controls experience preferred.
