Facilities Service Technician - Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville, FL

Respond to and resolve daily work requests for maintenance, repair or replacement / relocation of facility, office, clinic, or work space concerns. Duties include, but are not limited to lighting systems, temperature, plumbing, electrical, painting, door / hardware, carpet, wall repair and moving furniture / equipment. Documentation may include use of automated work order system, such as TRACK-IT. Primary Responsibilities:Provides general building / facility systems maintenance services for safe and comfortable operationsPrioritize service calls, and follow up upon completion under direction of the facility supervisorEnsures quality and completion of tasksPerforms minor construction projectsPerforms preventive maintenance on building systemsInspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditionsMaintains stock and inventory controlActs as lead for multi-technician market or works unsupervised in a single-technician marketProvides structured training sessions to other techniciansPerforms all other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED5 - 7 years of experience in building maintenance or 5 years of experience in building maintenance with a technical school degreeCurrent driver's license in applicable stateAccess to reliable transportationExcellent customer service skillsBasic computer literacy skillsAbility to prioritize and organize various work ordersAbility and willingness to work irregular work hours on occasion Preferred Qualifications:5 or more years of related experience in a medical setting If the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
