Nemours is seeking a Building Maintenance Specialist (FULL-TIME), Various Shifts, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children's Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area's only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children's Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.
Performing routine maintenance and work orders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the mechanical and structural systems, and to ensure the physical condition of the hospital does not deteriorate.
Performs corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, and building structures as required.
Responsible for inspection, calibration, adjusting, lubricating, and repairing or replacing components as necessary.
Completes assigned preventative and corrective maintenance work orders timely and accurately.
Works with other tradesmen as assigned.
Assist in maintaining records to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Troubleshoots and determines the necessary repairs needed for failed equipment.
Coordinates, conducts, and documents all fire and life safety measures throughout the facility.
Participates and employs behavior that promotes teamwork to achieve department goals.
Assist the Facility Manager and other Facility Staff.
High School Diploma required. Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school).
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience required.
Basic knowledge of the use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
