Vanderbilt University has an exciting opportunity for an HAR Mechanic Journeyman to join the Zone 1 Maintenance Team in Plant Operations and Facilities Management. The HAR team is responsible for heating and air conditioning systems, chill water systems, heating/hot water systems, steam systems, etc. As an HAR Mechanic Journeyman you will be tasked with maintaining the comfort heating & cooling systems for academic buildings, dormitories, and athletic buildings on campus. As an HAR Mechanic in Plant Services you will also troubleshoot & repair refrigerators, ice machines, air machines, chillers, and do preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment. 90% of your work will be out in the field, and 10% in the shop.

Typically we expect the successful candidate to have at least 5 years of experience in a relevant position. We also expect the ideal candidate to have a Universal HVAC License.
