The Facility Director will supervise and lead a team of maintenance professionals in the daily maintenance and operations of the community. The Facility Director will work with and report to the Community Director. He/She will be responsible for creating and following a budget for all maintenance, grounds and capital expenditure related activities. He/She will be responsible for financial monitoring, reporting and trend analysis to ensure budget compliance for all maintenance and capital expenses.
The Facility Director will ensure daily maintenance work orders are completed, that contractors are hired at competitive rates, and will be responsible for approving purchase orders associated with maintenance operations.
Must possess strong written and verbal skills and have the ability to prepare monthly maintenance reports for the Owner.
Five or more years required management experience in maintenance, facilities or project management, to include experience managing a sizable staff or personnel
10 years experience required in maintenance, facilities or construction development industry
Formal training or experience in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing work, electrical work, painting, refurbishing and cleaning, air-conditioning.
Excellent computer skills (proficient in Word, Excel, and other Office Programs) are necessary in order to create and complete reports, analyze data, and send and reply to emails.
Willingness to assist with and work in areas other than strictly repair maintenance.
Any specific skill required by the property.
Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours to support resident events.
Ability to work with co-workers and residents professionally in a demanding environment.
Additional Salary Information: Up to 10% annual bonus
