DESCRIPTION

Working under the supervision of the Lead and Supervisor, the successful candidate will function as the Systems Operator and provide day to day maintenance in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, AC&R, and general building maintenance, including the operation of the energy management system and calibration of direct digital controls.

Maintain medical and conventional building equipment: boiler, steam system, diesel generators, air compressors and vacuum pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, circulation pumps, plumbing, medical gas system, elevators, low voltage electrical systems, air handlers and exhaust systems, all associated HVAC equipment including the operation of the energy management system and calibration of direct digital controls. Responds to fire alarms and any building or utility related emergencies. First responder for all minor building and systems repair calls.

The Systems Operator responds to all building calls and maintains the Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation systems.

The System Operator will provide day to day maintenance in the following areas:

  • HVAC system
  • Emergency diesel generators
  • Low Voltage (120/227) electrical
  • Medical gases, air and vacuum systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Tube system
  • Dishwashing equipment
  • Exhaust fans
  • Kitchen Equipment
  • Ice Machines
  • Horizontal/vertical transportation system

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Relevant systems operator experience.

    • Environmental Protection Agency Certification (EPA) or commitment to get certified within (6) six months of hire.

    • Must have a valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Refrigerant certification.

    • Healthcare Environment experience.

    • Experience working in the medical field with good troubleshooting, customer service and communication skills.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS

    • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
    • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
