Gleeds is currently seeking a Senior Cost Estimator for projects located throughout the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing project cost estimates at various stages of design. Technical knowledge of the construction work involved and the ability to use cost estimating methods is required.

Performs quantity surveying on the following building components:
Site work (Earthwork, using Paydirt Software, Site utilities and Site improvements)
Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing systems is a plus
Inputs all quantities into estimating template, and provides pricing for the quantified items.
Writes up notes and estimating assumptions concerning the estimate in areas of responsibility.
Calls suppliers or subcontractors for pricing information.
Assists Preconstruction Director in maintaining unit cost databases.
Interfaces with clients, architects, or engineers as necessary in order to gain information to fulfill tasks and responsibilities on each project.
Use of cost planning systems including On-Screen Takeoff, Excel and other forms of computer aided measurement.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
A minimum of ten (10) years cost estimating experience.
AACE, ASPE or similar professional certification.
Experience in hospitality, commercial, healthcare, higher education, industrial or energy sectors a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and On-Screen Takeoff.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Self-motivated and results-driven.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent references are a must.
Education: BS in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related engineering field or equivalent industry experience.
Other Requirements: Candidates must have current US work authorization to work for any US employer without needed sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
