Like you, our students learn by doing. That’s why most of your time will be spent in our state-of-the-moment labs, shops, and studios teaching best practices and guiding students through hands-on projects.
Graduate level degrees and previous teaching experience is not required. And we don’t expect our new teachers to arrive here polished and adept in the art of instructing.
Instead, we teach you. Through comprehensive training, you will learn how to develop curriculum, establish teaching strategies, discover ways to keep your class engaged, and much more.
What You Will Get To Do:
Teach out of our commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration lab where students get to work with 17 roof top units, 6 variable air volume boxes, 5 power roof ventilators, 2 cooling towers, 2 chillers, and much more
Participate in the SkillsUSA Championships
Use breadboards for electrical experiements and controls in our electrical/thermal science lab
Design and develop curriculum that follows new industry trends
Create exciting labs and lectures that captivate your students
Share your personal on-the-job experiences in industry
Network with other professionals & build ties to industry projects
Share your passion and excitement for the HVACR industry with prospective students and their families
Associate's Degree with 5+ years industry experience OR
Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years experience
Involvement in related industry organizations
