Instructor is responsible for all activities related to college teaching and learning including, but not limited to instructional planning and curriculum development, instructional facilitation, student evaluation and assessment of student learning, student records, student recruitment, retention and advising, student placement, lab/climate management, interpersonal relations, effective team member skills and duties, maintenance of professional skills and credentials and industry relationships, and participation on college committees.

Two-year diploma in automotive services technology.
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.
AAS Degree in automotive services technology or related field;
Ten or more year's experience in electrical, engines, automatic transmissions, drivability, vehicle management system diagnostics and repair;
Expertise in Industry safety standards, Brakes, Manual Transmissions, Basic Electrical, 4WD and Differentials, Steering and Suspension, Basic Engine Management, and HVAC;
Master ASE Certification;
Two years of Auto Mechanics teaching experience;
Experience with NATEF accreditation;
ASE G1 Maintenance and Light Repair certification (As per NATEF).

Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary range $35,984-$79,218. Salary and benefits will be provided according to the negotiated labor agreement.
