The Manager - Distribution Services, provides management and leadership to electrical and plumbing distribution.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Five years of experience in electrical transmission/distribution systems or plumbing distribution systems, including three years of supervisory experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Texas Class C Drivers License or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Working knowledge of protective relaying, switching, and substation equipment.
Bachelorâ™s degree in engineering.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Provide leadership and supervision to electrical and plumbing distribution. This may require driving a university vehicle to different locations on campus
Identifies capital improvements necessary for regulatory compliance.
Manages funding/budget issues for electrical and plumbing distribution.
Establishes quality standards for electrical and plumbing distribution.
Supervise and work with designated standby personnel and review all utility work order requests and distribute to appropriate supervisors.
Must be able to climb stairs and do light to moderate lifting
Contributes to a safe work environment by reporting accidents and unsafe working conditions, uses proper personal protective equipment, follows safety procedures outlined in Material Safety Data Sheets, and participates in safety training.
