The role of this position is to provide a safe, functional, clean, efficient and attractive living and learning environment. This position assists in the evaluation, repair and replacement of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, and systems. This position will be involved in corrective and preventive maintenance and minor alteration work and may oversee temporary labor and/or other trades persons or contractors as required. This position requires general supervision and often works independently.
High School Diploma/GED
Trade school certificate or license
Steam Engineer, Class 3 License
LEED Green Associate or equivalent training
5-7 years journey level experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC equipment
Intermediate skills in MS Office
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license with fewer than 2 points
1-2 years of experience in building controls or automation
1 year or more of project management, supervisor or team lead experience
1-2 years of HVAC or mechanical system commissioning experience
2-3 years of CMMS experience
1-2 years of EMS or BAS usage
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding and at heights of 40 feet or more, and lift 50 lbs
