Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Project Manager for the office of Project Administration. Reports to the Senior Project Manager, independently manages small to medium size renovation projects from inception to final completion.
Prepares, or commissions from outside consultants, designs drawings and coordinates with other Architectural, Mechanical or Electrical designers to create complete bid packages on smaller projects.
Coordinates and reviews architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire-protection and electrical designs for conformance with the University's design standards, reviews shop drawings during construction.
Develops and monitors project schedule and budget. Prepares periodic status updates and reports, and monitors progress against established schedule.
Reviews and evaluates design solutions and recommendations presented by design consultants.
Home Location Campus: Off Campus
Able to draw/draft manually as well as on latest computer design programs.
Has professional licensure.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be very familiar with all aspects of the design process, be able to direct the work of other team members and consultants, evaluate options, and make sound decisions.
Must have a good understanding of management of small to medium size construction projects.
Must be experienced in working independently with clients to develop creative design solutions and be able to implement the plan.
