POSITION SUMMARY: Provide maintenance services for Howard Brown Health and Brown Elephant locations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform building maintenance and repairs such as replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes and plumbing such as toilet clocks and drainage cleaning, faucets and valves repair
Assist in monitoring all work scheduled with outside vendors
Complete grounds work as needed, which may include picking up trash, cleaning the exterior walkways and dumpster areas, shoveling snow, and maintaining landscaping beds as needed
Upon request support office relocation, furniture dissembling /assembling and setting up
Upon request, hang up bulletin/writing boards, pictures and miscellaneous items
Upon requests set up community room, group rooms for meetings and events
Performs a wide variety of general and semiskilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.
Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment/facility equipment and small tools for proper operating condition.
Maintain tools inventory on all locations.
Upon requests, perform special projects for all Howard Brown Health locations.
Provide delivery of program supplies and materials to all departments at Howard Brown.
Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High School Diploma or GED
Three years previous maintenance experience required
Must have a good understanding of preventative maintenance
Applicants should possess strong ability to handle multiple tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Occasional lifting (up to 50lbs.), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
A highly motivated, goal oriented individual who is a self-starter and who has an attention for detail is a must
Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational ability required
Must be comfortable working and interacting with the LGBTQ community.
You must have a vehicle to be able to drive to all of the organizations locations. Must have a valid, unencumbered drivers license.
Higher education preferred
Team player attitude
Space is limited and must be shared for most appropriate usage.
