JOB TITLE: Maintenance/Janitorial Technician REPORTS TO: Facilities and Construction Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt, full-time
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide maintenance and janitorial services for Howard Brown Health and seven satellite locations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform cleaning and related activates such as removing snow or debris from building exterior 2. Upon request support office relocation, furniture dissembling /assembling and setting up 3. Perform minor building maintenance and repairs such as replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes and plumbing such as toilet clocks and drainage cleaning, faucets and valves repair 4. Provide minor repairs on all satellite locations 5. Upon request, hang up bulletin/writing boards, pictures and miscellaneous items 6. Upon requests set up community room, group rooms for meetings and events 7. Spackle holes in the office walls, prime and paint the walls 8. Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment/facility equipment and small tools for proper operating condition. 9. Maintain standard operation on meter services, 10. Maintain tools inventory on all locations. 11. Upon requests, perform special projects for all Howard Brown Health locations. 12. Perform carpet spot cleaning/vacuuming, spot mop vct /ceramic tiles and concrete floors 13. Empty trash and put new bags in both cans in the kitchen, community room and clinic conference room and nursing area 14. Transport all trash to designated areas 15. Clean all stainless steel fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms , aluminum doors and stainless steel door frames biweekly 16. Wash all windows interior/exterior quarterly 17. Collect recycle from all departments and hallways, empty all recycle bins as needed 18. Dispose of empty boxes, trash bags, etc. outside of office 19. Stock copy machines with paper daily 20. Provide daily mail delivery and pickup for satellite locations 21. Provide delivery of program supplies and materials to all departments at Howard Brown. 22. Provide cleaning services at Lakeview office-empty trash/recycling , clean restrooms and kitchen 23. Clean elevator doors inside and outside with stainless steel cleaner 24. Organize all magazines and brochures 25. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Required: • High School Diploma or GED • Three years previous maintenance experience required • Must have a good understanding of preventative maintenance • Applicants should possess strong ability to handle multiple tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment • A highly motivated, goal oriented individual who is a self-starter and who has an attention for detail is a must • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational ability required • Must be comfortable working and interacting with the LGBTQ community. • You must have a vehicle to be able to drive to all of the organizations locations

WORKING CONDITIONS: • Space is limited and must be shared for most appropriate usage. • Subject to high stress and irregular hours. • Occasional evenings and weekends.
