This position is in the Operations and Facilities Management Department (OFMD) located at the Medical School Campus.
The position requires an individual to operate and maintain Building Automation and Fire Alarm Systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual assists maintenance personnel with technical aid and support as necessary. Implements set point changes to maintain acceptable environmental conditions in critical facilities and mechanical HVAC systems. Makes software commands to HVAC systems with Building Automation Systems and assists maintenance and security personnel with information regarding fire alarms by monitoring the Fire Alarm Systems.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.
Evening Shift (3:30pm - 11:30pm). Work days are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Equivalent of high school diploma and a inimum of two years experience in carpentry, plumbing and/or energy management required.
2-3 years of experience in performing a full range of tasks associated with operating/monitoring Building Automation and Fire Alarm Systems and performing general maintenance.
Associate’s Degree in HVAC/Controls
Missouri Class-E driver’s license or Illinois Class D driver’s license.
Possess a working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, have excellent maintenance skills and have strong written and oral communication skills.
Should be able to maintain a high level of attention to accuracy and details, and have excellent customer service skills, with a pleasant demeanor.
The hiring range for this position is commensurate with experience.
