The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Facilities Management Energy Operations Center Coordinator. The FM EOC Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the continuous monitoring, evaluation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the campus wide Building Management System (BMS). The primary responsibilities of the FM EOC Coordinator will be (a) monitor the campus wide Building Management System (BMS) and the conditions of its connected mechanical, HVAC, and other misc Building Automation and Laboratory control systems, (b) receive customer calls (work requests) relating to normal building maintenance and emergency situations, and acknowledge, review, process, dispatch appropriate personnel, assist in resolution, track progress, and log status of said BMS generated alarms and called in work requests. The above responsibilities require the FM EOC Coordinator to utilize expertise to operate efficiently, independently, and decisively to ensure that maintenance and emergency situations are resolved timely and appropriately. Work orders, requests, and status updates will be administered and tracked through the University's Computerized Maintenance Management Software system. Emergency and high priority responses may require calling out additional off-duty trades and staff as deemed necessary.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
Possess knowledge of MEP focused environments, building operations, mechanical plant strategies, BMS control theory and concepts, ATC sequence programming, control diagrams, and complex environmental concepts. Possess knowledge of BACnet, LON, ARC156, and Modbus protocols. Possess knowledge of basic ethernet configuration and capabilities. Possess solid skills in basic PC applications (word, excel, outlook, etc.). Possess 5 years minimum experience in listed required fields.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
