PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, Facilities-Repair and Maintenance (R&M), to provide leadership and supervision to the Preventive Maintenance team. Repair and Maintenance is responsible for 150 buildings within the campus portfolio consisting of approximately 13m GSF. Will be responsible for managing and assigning the day-to-day work and acting as the point person for preventive maintenance execution on all mechanical, electrical, piping, and structural system issues; providing leadership and direction to assigned team members; managing the entire preventive maintenance process including performing QA/QC on work performed; ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations; and seeking out preventive maintenance best practices.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent (associate's or B.S. degree preferred); a minimum of five-years' related experience; expertise in one or more skilled trades, facilities management, or engineering discipline; strong background in repair and maintenance and/or facilities management in an academic setting with oversight of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preventative maintenance; demonstrated proficiency with job planning and execution; excellent interpersonal and written and oral communications skills; and ability to maneuver in and around mechanical rooms and on roof tops. Must be available to respond to off-hour campus emergencies and to work any shift as necessary in order to meet operational needs. Will also provide weekend supervisory coverage on a rotating basis.
