The Building Services Coordinator for the Library's Building Operations team is responsible for coordinating a wide range of day-to-day support functions and activities relating to building facilities. Performs daily inspections of all buildings and mechanical areas, as well as regularly scheduled tours of the Harvard Depository and 625 Mass Ave. Responsible for the oversight of daily maintenance & day-to-day work/work order management system. Monitors HVAC controls system for all Library locations. Directs day-to-day activity of building trades, & contractors to assure timely and cost effective completion of work. Coordinates with Facilities Maintenance Operations (FMO) and other vendors for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems, security system and structural/building envelop repairs and maintenance. Coordinates small projects as necessary. As a member of Building Operations, works closely with OPR & P and Harvard University Office for Sustainability staff to implement best operations and maintenance practices, and to actively participate in FAS greenhouse gas and energy reduction efforts and goals for the Libraries. Regularly interacts with building occupants, responding to occupant building problems/requests promptly and resolving them quickly. Performs other related tasks as required.

3+ years experience in maintenance, construction or building trades. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems. Must have the ability to work as part of a team on a variety of projects.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with faculty, students and administrators at all levels. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems, including thoroughly gathering information to inform problem-solving.
Must have valid U.S drivers license.
