We are seeking a Lead Facility Technician – Maintenance to join our Agricultural Products Division (APN).
Lead Facility Technician – Maintenance – RTP, NC
The Lead Facility Technician – Maintenance is responsible for i nspecting equipment, fixtures, and facilities for proper operation and working condition, and performing preventative maintenance as assigned through the SAP work order system.
Maintain logs, manuals, records and other related documentation
Troubleshoot electrical, and mechanical malfunctions; Correct faults necessary to return equipment to service
Adjust, disassemble, repair, and reassemble complex equipment and machinery
Report serious problems to supervisor; Collaborate to develop solutions to problem conditions
Install, set-up, and test new equipment, fixtures and machinery
Operate Building Automation Systems to troubleshoot and maintain required environmental conditions throughout the facilities
Deliver courteous and effective customer service to the occupants of the buildings serviced
Manage contractors according to all corporate guidelines ensuring safety quality and cost effectiveness of work.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You...
Associates Degree in industrial maintenance or related field -OR- High School Diploma/GED with significant related experience -OR- AA/HS/GED with completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in one or more trades
5+ years of minimum experience as facilities technician or equivalent in an industrial/commercial environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
In depth knowledge of the design, operation and repair of mechanical systems such as plumbing and HVAC
Experience with Building Automation Systems; i.e.: Seimens, Honeywell, JCI etc.
Valid driver's license
Chiller and cooling tower maintenance and operation proficiency; Proficiency with industrial steam and hot water boiler system maintenance and operations
Familiarity with building codes, electrical codes, and fire codes
Knowledge of the design and operation of commercial sprinkler, security and lighting systems
Ability to create and modify procedures, checklists and work instructions
Computer literate with familiarity of Office software and computerized maintenance management systems
Work well in team environment and able to self-direct; High integrity and a desire to do things right the first time
