Department Name: 3CM00:Medical Center Physical Plant
Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager I for Design Services, Facilities Management – Medical Center, this position provides mechanical engineering services for commercial building renovation projects, including design of commercial facility mechanical systems and consultation on mechanical issues. Observe and document field conditions. Attends project meetings. Answers design questions. Reviews shop drawings. Provide sizing and specifications on all related mechanical components. Deliver designs within the scheduled time frame or work with Project Manager to adjust schedule. Update schedules daily to reflect completed assignments. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws for the University of Kentucky campus. Time reports will be completed in specified time frame. Candidate needs to have related experience in building system design to include HVAC, plumbing, motor and pump design, HVAC controls and building automation systems design. PE is strongly preferred.
MS Windows/Office; MS Project Manager; SAP; and KRONOS.
