On behalf of our confidential technology client, CBRE is hiring a "Supplier Quality Assurance Program Manager" for it large hyperscale data center construction projects. Your quality expertise, perhaps from other industries, must show a proven track record of establishing quality management systems from the ground-up .
Looking for a quality-trained Professional; may possess any or all of the following core qualifications:
American Society of Quality (ASQ) certifications,
ISO 9001 Auditor,
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, (Strong knowledge and experience utilizing DMAIC methodology)
statistical process control,
Must have prior experience managing a large portfolio of
suppliers ; -This supplier management must include experience qualifying / disqualifying vendors based on their competence and performance. As a quality engineer, you must have demonstrated prior experience in collecting and reporting metrics. Be prepared to discuss instances where you have needed to blacklist certain suppliers and/or work with them to improve their own quality management systems, then bring them back as a qualified supplier.
The ideal candidate must have production floor quality management experience. We are looking for candidates with "hands-on" experience managing a manufacturing or assembly facility producing electrical or mechanical equipment. We are looking for detail-oriented candidates that manage contract manufacturers who know how to look beyond the typical demand signal and first pass yields. Our client's production process is mostly automated and not prone to injecting defects. Therefore, we want candidates from manufacturing facilities where the human element is the major defect injection source. Thus, experience with large heavy equipment that is manually welded, brazed, bolted, connected, is preferred. (Example: electrical switches, breakers, large HVAC equipment, chillers, pumps, fans, etc.
As a Supplier Quality Assurance Program Manager (MEP Infrastructure)", you will evaluate product and workmanship quality requirements, designs, specifications, suppliers, production lines, quality assurance/control strategies, MEP equipment commissioning, integrators, logistics, assembly and operations to assure on-time delivery of our power, cooling and infrastructure control systems.
You will work within a team environment that works cross-functionally with Building Mech./Electrical R&D, Platforms, Hardware Operations, Global Commodity Management, Data Center (DC) Design, DC Engineering, DC Program Controls, and DC Operations, to deliver more efficient and greener capacity globally with increasing predictability, low cost of poor quality and shorter lead times.
With your manufacturing, or construction, or electrical and/or mechanical engineering background you will be defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling (Six Sigma DMAIC processes) the full product/service lifecycle process from concept through to execution and live operation.
Analyze supplier production systems, focusing on the earliest predictors of performance deviation to minimize costs of poor quality and you have a relentless penchant to assure that the organization learns from past mistakes in a scalable, effective manner.
Educational Requirement (Bachelors Degree - minimum required from any of the following) :
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree, or
Construction Management Degree, or
Facilities Management Degree, or
Business Degree, with a Supply Chain Quality Management focus.
