The Company is a privately held, entrepreneurial $100 million supplier of plumbing, PVF and irrigation products to the residential, commercial and industrial markets across the United States Founded in 1952, the Company began as a pioneer in importing high quality plumbing products for distribution.
Specific responsibilities of this position include:
Providing leadership on all financial issues facing the Company.
Ensuring that proper financial and operational controls are in place.
Evaluating the state of the business and identifying issues.
Providing operational management support, as well as financial P&L management support.
Developing the necessary financial reports to support business decisions and analyze and interpret financial results on a timely basis.
Overseeing balance sheet management with responsibility for establishing, directing and maintaining reporting.
Protecting corporate assets through the development and implementation of sound accounting policies and procedures.
Serving as a key adviser on overall company performance and long-term initiatives.
Auditing inventory management system, related reporting and product costing considerations.
Maintaining interaction with distribution centers, which may require some domestic travel.
Serving as the primary source of guidance on human resources matters, including job offers, conflict resolution, and compensation programs. Establish more developed human resources policies and activities.
Identifying additional operational responsibilities as needed. Develop and be personally accountable for tasks and projects as they are identified.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of twenty years of business experience of increasing responsibility with a minimum of five years as a CFO in a privately held environment. Experience with inventory management and distribution center activities is required, including product costing and familiarity with overseas production and sourcing. This candidate must have experience in developing budgets and implementing cost controls, as well as have a well-rounded background that includes all controllership activities, internal reporting, strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting and treasury operations.
The candidate must be an operational and business-focused financial executive, with the experience and ability to develop and execute all policies and practices relating to financial activities.
