PlantOperations provides facilities support for all construction, renovation, androutine maintenance of University Central space and facilities; housekeepingservices for approximately 5.8 million square feet of academic, administrative,residential, and recreational space; grounds care for 330 acres that are aregistered arboretum; turf care for athletic fields; and utilities for theUniversity Central and the Medical Center.
Facilitiesannual budget exceeds $100 million in operating expenses and includes over 400employees. Facilities manages major capital project expenditures totaling~$125 million annually and facility renewal, replacement and large maintenanceproject expenditures totaling ~$20 million annually.
Vanderbilt Universityseeks a Plumber Journeyman to perform routine plumbing work and plumbingconstruction/installation work. This is a full-time position: 40 hours perweek. Must be available to work 7:30AM to 4:00PM. Must be available towork additional hours as required including evening hours. Pay is $24.50/hr.
Responsible formaintaining, repairing and installing domestic water systems and sanitary sewersystems including backflow devices, steam domestic water heaters, plumbingfixtures, domestic recirculation pumps, domestic pressure regulating valves,storm sewer systems and irrigation systems.
Perform preventativemaintenance (PM) program inspections and repairs.
Perform estimates,provide layouts for plumbing maintenance related items and respond to emergencyplumbing calls.
Understand and interpret building codes, parts manuals, blueprints and schematics.

5 Years of experience orthe equivalent
Able to stand, stoop,crawl, work on elevated surfaces and be in awkward positions for extendedperiods of time.
