Monitors, adjust, and maintains a comfortable and safe environment through the Building Automation Systems (BAS), Monitoring Based Commissioning (MBCx), and Networked Lighting Control systems. The BAS Controls Engineer works with the Union Technicians, in house and external subject matter experts in order to resolve technical issues associated with the BAS, HVAC or Lighting Control Systems.
Must be proficient with common computer software including Windows and Office suites
Working knowledge of building systems and operations including HVAC, Power, and Life Safety systems
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Ability to work independently or in a group
Must successfully pass background checks as determined by the University at the time of hire, and continue to meet standards of the background check throughout the period of employment
Willing to learn and operate new software
Minimum of 2 years related experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings Must have and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
