This position will perform duties associated with Central Control, including Siemens and Delta Building Automation System (BAS) programming and diagnostics; review project plans and documents for adherence to University construction standards and project specification; provide support to 2nd Shift Operations preventive maintenance crew and Commissioning Department; provide training and technical support to skilled trades employees and supervisors.
This position will engage in High Performance, leading edge practices, which are Innovative in their approach to increased Stewardship and Service Excellence.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years of college, technical or vocational school with an Associate's degree Engineering or HVAC technology; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in industrial or commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, including laboratory pressurization controls; experience in the operation of Building Automation Systems (BAS); experience in project planning and review; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license.
Associate’s degree in engineering or HVAC technology; experience with MSU Standards for Construction Projects, utility systems, and fire, safety, and health codes; experience with Siemens Apogee Building Automation System and/or Delta Controls Building Automation System. Must meet MSU standards for safe driving.
