The primary responsibilities of the Facility Manager is to perform all building maintenance at Easterseals Academy. Cross-trained to perform building maintenance at other Easterseals sites.
Responsible for performing building maintenance.
Evaluate and determines site maintenance issues and works to resolve deficiencies.
Secures three comparative bids for work requiring outside vendors.
Perform rough and finished carpentry.
Repair plumbing fixtures and installs new plumbing fixtures.
Repair dry wall and tile floors.
Prepare and completes painting.
Repair and installs electrical equipment.
Repair various furnishings.
Organize and coordinates duties to ensure completion of projects in accordance with predetermined timelines.
Respond to emergency building maintenance calls.
Maintain appropriate written and computer-based records.
Develop and monitors bus lane traffic flow patterns to ensure safety procedures are followed for AM and PM bus loading/unloading.
Collaborate with janitorial service/s to problem solve and ensure building is ready to meet participant demands in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.
Orders all maintenance, cleaning, paper products, hand soaps and sanitizers.
Ensure that all entries are safe and accessible during inclement weather.
Coordinate facility rental schedules with janitorial services to ensure the facility is in excellent condition for all participants and tenants.
Open the building in the morning, complete inspections, and inform Administration of any impending issues that may affect operations.
Participate in meetings with Principal or designee to discuss impending issues including operations, maintenance, and/or janitorial that may affect operations.
Conduct, schedule, and lead inspections of designated facilities and complete required reports.
Key lead for Health and Safety.
Participate in Health and Safety Committee meetings.
Maintain security alarm system in coordination with the vendor.
Operate/regulate building HVAC system.
Utilize electronic maintenance program to ensure timely completion of duties.
Schedule all bus maintenance inspections.
All other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in building trades, maintenance, or equivalent job experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
Valid driver’s license.
Valid Bus Driver’s permit.
Ability to multi-task in a high stress environment.
Ability to interact with diverse personalities.
Ability to perform all functions necessary to obtain certification in TCI/PCM.
Skilled in construction/building trades.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to complete and maintain records and reports.
Ability to develop professional and effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to obtain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certification.
Eligible for Driver Certification.
