The Maintenance Engineer will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, temperature control, pumps, air compressors, food service equipment and associated components of these systems. The Maintenance Office provides repair and maintenance services to all the nearly 100 buildings and utility distribution to the campus, and manages all contract maintenance and utility improvement activities that covers just over 1000 acres.
This is a full time (1.0 FTE) union represented position. Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Primary duties include:
Inspect, adjust, repair, and maintain ventilation and air conditioning equipment, variety of heating systems and their components, and all types of food service equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment maintained under the College’s preventive maintenance system.
Direct the activities of student workers assigned to the Maintenance Engineer position.

The successful candidate possesses an 18-month Vo-Tech Building Maintenance Program certificate and is required to be Universal CFC Certified. A valid Minnesota driver’s licenses with a good driving record. The candidate must also pass a pre-employment physical and background check. Preferred qualifications include a Minnesota Grade C operating engineer’s licenses and experience working with food service equipment.
