FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
To perform and/or monitor janitorial and custodial duties for buildings and grounds at Bowling Green office.
To perform and/or coordinate building maintenance requirements for Bowling Green office and other district offices as requested.
To provide scheduled mail and supply deliveries to district offices.
To ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
Reports to: Purchasing Agent
Maintains an electronic checklist of requested maintenance activities.
Maintains lighting supplies and replaces bulb as necessary throughout all buildings on the Bowling Green campus and district office as requested.
Ensures parking lots are cleared of snow and building entries are salted for the safety of members and employees at Bowling Green office.
Performs minor building and equipment repairs including plumbing, electrical wiring, and painting.
Ensures all buildings and parking lot security features are in proper working order.
Monitors work of contract cleaning crews to ensure duties are being performed to WRECC satisfaction.
Inventories janitorial and restroom supplies. Requisitions supplies from Purchasing Agent.
Performs general yard work including mowing, mulching, and landscaping at Bowling Green office.
Schedules and monitors regular shredding of sensitive documents.
Operates tow motor, as required, for loading and unloading materials and supplies.
Spot cleans all restrooms and break rooms as needed and replaces supplies daily.
Checks to insure all parking lot lighting is functional and reports needed repairs to Purchasing Agent to insure lights remain functional.
Ensures parking lots and public areas surrounding buildings are free of trash and debris.
Picks up, sorts, and delivers mail in Bowling Green Office. Stamps and/or meters outgoing mail at the end of the work day and delivers to the post office.
Monitors lobby to be sure that the area remains neat and clean during working hours.
Performs monthly inspections of assigned vehicles.
Performs monthly inspection of fire extinguishers and building exit signs to ensure functionality.
Picks up supplies as requested by Purchasing Agent. Makes scheduled (or as needed) deliveries of mail and supplies to district offices.
Sets up for meetings and special events and clears the area afterwards.
Performs special cleaning projects as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Works according to safety rules and policies adopted by Warren RECC, is responsible for own safety, and reports all accidents to supervisor.
Complies with traffic laws, regulations, and safe practices while operating any company vehicle.

POSITION Facilities Maintenance Technician
High school graduate or equivalent required. Technical training in electrical, plumbing and or HVAC required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in minor plumbing and electrical repair work. In lieu of technical school must have minimum of 8 years of plumbing, electrical, and or HVAC experience.
Two years of lawn care maintenance and minor landscaping experience.
Must have knowledge of the proper and safe use of tools, equipment, materials, and supplies.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Must have the ability to use supplies safely and effectively to properly maintain the buildings, furniture, and grounds.
Must be able to operate lawn care equipment and also become certified in tow motor operation.
Must be able to make minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
Inside and outside work. Must be able to do moderate to heavy physical work. Some overtime may be required. Should be able to lift 50 pounds or more as needed. Must not be colorblind.
