The duties of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to maintain the Mayfield Hts. campus by ensuring the buildings and grounds are maintained in a safe and usable condition to provide a conducive surrounding for the well-being of our employees and visitors. The position performs and oversees construction projects as needed for Rockwell Automation's Mayfield Hts., Mayfield Village, and Twinsburg locations.
Maintain the facility and grounds in a safe and usable condition.
Perform tasks to maintain or upgrade the facility including: framing/ drywall/ mud and taping of newly constructed walls; demolition; painting; carpet and base repairs and installation; ceiling tile installation; plumbing repairs; door repairs; lighting replacements including ballast replacement; floor tile (vinyl) installation; ceramic wall tile installation; woodworking; minor landscaping
Submit building and equipment related preventive maintenance tasks in the Archibus work order system.
Process and expedite work order requests and maintain related documentation.
Monitor and post to Rockwell internal social media platforms including Clammer and Yammer.
Expedite signage changes throughout the facility.
Provide backup to the facilities team on HVAC monitoring using Envoy program.
Make necessary changes to building layouts using AutoCAD program.
Work with internal customers on various projects to establish work scope and timelines.
Assist department team members with projects as needed.
Assist other Rockwell facilities with projects as needed, including Mayfield Village and Twinsburg locations.
Evaluate and process purchase orders for timely completion of work orders.
Process paperwork including purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner.
Assess and provide solutions for improved systems, processes or equipment.
Direct contractor/vendor activities related to the operation, maintenance or repair of buildings, grounds, equipment and systems.
Effectively communicate and ensure positive interactions with internal and external customers, and resolve any customer service issues.
Assist in development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives in support of the mission, vision and values of Rockwell Automation.
Coordinate and implement special projects as assigned within specified time frames.
Participate in professional activities to keep abreast of technical developments in the area of facilities management
Maintain required records, reports and files.
Maintain yearly blanket purchase orders with contractors.
