At Stony Brook Medicine, our Technical Operations Manager Incumbent is to provide Management oversight for the East Campus/Mart/Bed Tower HVAC, Refrigeration and Plumbing Departments.
Duties of a Technical Operations Manager may include the following but are not limited to: • Responsible for notifying appropriate department heads and/or designee of project activities, scheduling and project progress. • Maintains and tracks all budgets and provide Project Status. • Provide professional direction and oversight for HVAC/Refrigeration contracts. • Maintains and tracks all budgets for appropriate departments. • Provide professional direction and oversight for Maintenance activities, Repair, replacement of existing HVAC/Refrigeration and Plumbing equipment. • Responsible for managing and oversite of staff and the Operation for HVAC and Plumbing • Responsible for notifying appropriate department heads and/or designee of project activities, scheduling and project progress.
Required Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years' experience in mechanical and plumbing systems. In lieu of degree, at least 10 years' experience in mechanical and plumbing systems. Must also have at least 5 years' management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Hospital/healthcare setting experience. Valid and current NYS driver's license.
