CBRE|Heery is actively seeking a Sr Construction Project Manager to join their team in Atlanta, GA.
The purpose of this position is to monitor large, complex construction projects for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. The Sr Construction Project Manager is primarily responsible for total project management of the design and construction of multiple construction and renovation projects. Must be thoroughly familiar with design and construction of large commercial, interior, and technical project types. Responsibilities to include: construction means and methods for quality attainment; cost control including budgets and estimating; and scheduling including critical path. Beneficial project type experience would include facility-critical MEP infrastructure (i.e. broadcast engineering, data centers, redundant power and HVAC systems, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage multiple assigned projects including discovery phase (understanding and communicating Client's requirements), architectural and MEP design phases, bidding phase, construction phase and turnover (occupancy phase). Manage weekly project meetings with the entire project team and arrange breakout meetings, as needed. Must maintain the Client's requirements throughout every phase of the project, delivering a final product (project) that meets all requirements. Must maintain all project data and approvals in Project Management Software and other internal management and clerical software programs. Direct project experience in technical facilities (i.e. studio and/or broadcast facilities, central plant facilities, emergency power facilities, data storage facilities, etc.) is highly desirable.
Create, update and maintain project budgets in Microsoft Excel and enterprise project management software, assuring the assigned projects have proper funding and are accomplished within budget. Understanding of capital versus expense/operating budgets is helpful. This includes reporting budget/current costs to Management. Direct project experience with using enterprise project management software is highly desirable.
Prepare Project Status Reports. Create, update and maintain project schedules assuring the assigned projects are accomplished within the time allowed. Must be able to schedule and coordinate a wide array of internal and external stakeholders. Must be thoroughly familiar with critical-path scheduling in Microsoft Project.
Review contract drawings and specifications and opine for completeness and general compliance with commonly accepted architectural /engineering best practices.
Review and make relevant comments concerning the terms of the construction agreement, the submitted subcontracts, architectural and engineering design agreements, building loan agreement as well as review both Contractor and Architect's qualification statements.
Review and comment on construction and disbursement schedules as well as other submitted document including but not limited to: zoning approvals, certified surveys, building permits and approvals, utility company approval letters, soil and foundation engineering reports, and designer's certification of code and ADA compliance.
Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum eight or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience.
Experience with multiple project responsibility is strongly preferred
5+ years in a project management leadership position in performance based real estate and construction project is preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Licensure as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements. Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems. Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized
