Install, repair and adjust heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and their controls.
Reporting to the Manager of Mechanical Services, the HVAC Tech will demonstrate working knowledge as an experienced HVAC mechanic. Skilled in the operation of tools and equipment associated with HVAC maintenance, this work involves installation, repair and modification of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, as well as air conditioning equipment and their controls. This position requires a valid Virginia driver’s license and E.P.A. certification for handling CFC refrigerants. The HVAC Tech is expected to be available for emergency call in and must demonstrate the ability to respond to emergencies on an on-call 24/7 basis.
Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation licensure as a HVAC tech or the aptitude and experience to obtain. Ability to interpret and produce mechanical drawings
