Adult and Continuing Education is seeking a Vocational Coordinator for an instructional role in Gainesville, Corinth, Flower Mound, Bowie and Graham. The position requires a general overall vocational knowledge of the skills necessary to help students acquire jobs in specific industries. These programs are typically short, career-focused programs that quickly prepare graduates for immediate employment. The ideal candidate will have an overall knowledge of: 1.A hands-on approach to teaching the skills needed to do a job successfully. 2.Programs that result in an industry recognized credential or certificate 3.General employability skills 4.Career advancement and entry into further education and training. The candidate will be responsible for developing opportunities for apprenticeships within selected occupations and exploring funding streams for implementation of programs.

Required Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of adult education principles; skills in problem solving and interpersonal communication; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work as part of a team, effectively make public presentations, and prepare reports with proficiency using Microsoft applications.
Minimum of 2 years experience teaching/training and developing/supervising courses; developing curriculum; designing course schedules
