Position Summary: The Journeyman (Plumber) position is an intermediate level, field-based position responsible for job site tasks as directed by the Master Plumber. This role will be part of the plumbing division team with some independent service call tasks. This role will take direction and be mentored by the Master Plumber toward successful job completion in accordance with client/company expectations. This role will be asked to work independently from time to time without direct oversight by the Responsible Master Plumber.
Assist in walking, scoping and bidding plumbing jobs both independently and with direct oversight by the Responsible Master Plumber.
Assist Responsible Master Plumber in mentoring and training for Apprentice Plumbers and Rehab Technicians in our Relay vertical.
Submit daily reports of progress made and jobs completed to Responsible Master Plumber and Member.
Assist the Responsible Master Plumber in vehicle, project and shop inventories for material and sundries oversight.
Will be called upon to work with renovation team on interior unit turns from time to time performing duties such as changing angle stops, plumbing faucets and sinks, installing light fixtures, installing apartment grade bath and unit hardware and installing appliances.
Attend required continuing education courses, as mandated by the State of Texas, to ensure Journeyman license is maintained and in good standing.
Maintain regular contact with Responsible Master Plumber to ensure job site tasks are completed timely and in accordance with client/company standards.
Identify and communicate to the Responsible Master Plumber scope changes, unforeseen conditions and change orders as required.
Work closely with Responsible Master Plumber and back office personnel in scheduling and communicating completion of daily tasks and service calls.

Must be proficient with the following:
Water Heater Service and Replacement
Soldering / Brazing
Must be detailed oriented, have a valid driver's license, maintain reliable transportation and able to communicate effectively (both written and verbally)
Duties may require occasional use of an onsite company vehicle.
Arrive at the job site on time and ready to perform the work-related functions of this job.
Ability to travel, as needed, between multiple job sites.
Must maintain professional work attire and utilize the appropriate safety gear, as required
