Qualifications & Job Description

• Assist Firm Principals and Senior Management during the programming phases, space planning, architectural and interior design processes from initial conceptual design throughout overall completion of projects.
• Technically skilled in AutoCad, Revit, Sketchup (or other 3D design programs) and interest in Microsoft HoloLens VR technology.
• Proficient in the development and production of construction drawings and specifications.
• Possess a working knowledge of basic structural systems, exterior glazing systems, roofing systems, interior ‘tenant improvement’ construction methods and general understanding of structural, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must have equal interest and passion for both architecture and commercial interior design.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal/ written) required.
• Interface with and provide directive to consulting Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil and Structural engineers throughout the design and construction document production process.
• Independently research building products, construction details, building code-related items, and perform square footage/ occupancy/ exiting calculations, plumbing fixture calculations, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple projects of different types, scale and technical complexity.
• Perform field verification and documentation of existing/ ‘as-built’ conditions.
• Assist with construction administration (CA) duties including review of product and shop drawing submittals, field visits, photo-documentation, meetings with Contractors, etc.
