Purpose This position provides the coordination planning & scheduling of all custodial, grounds, & Plant operation issues for the Ross complex. The position ensures exceptional customer service to all of the school’s stake holders, our customers.

Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution of all custodial, maintenance, grounds/waste management, & HVAC issues through the University Plant Operations or outside vendors as needed, making decisions on behalf of RSB.
Respond to customer complaints and ensure resolution through Facility Plant Operation & Service.
Develop and implement procedures and policies for RSB Facilities as appropriate.
Coordinate routine and project phone requests & ITCOM orders.
Coordinate all security related issues, including keys, hours of operation, automatic door locking and University card reader system.
Select and order faculty or staff office furniture and supplies, working with faculty and staff on needs assessment. Coordinate process with Interior Design and follow through until completion.
Participate in project construction meetings that involve classrooms, conference rooms, auditorium, office space, student study, event rooms, and RSB open space to be used by all. Recommend & provide advice requested by the architects and interior designers regarding the use of special space.
Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Demonstrate leadership and professionalism daily.
Provide positive and effective leadership to the team; communicate vision and expectations; ensure team has necessary skills, tools and information, and remove barriers to success; provide opportunities for professional growth through ongoing performance feedback, coaching and skill development; recruit new staff members and temporary employees as required.
Advocate for a positive team culture by addressing challenging situations, strengthening cooperation amongst the team, and facilitating regularly meetings with staff to increase overall efficiencies within the team.
Payroll timekeeping & approving time as required.
Duties as assigned by facilities manager.
High School Diploma and at least 2 years progressively responsible experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, custodial, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a proven ability to communicate with a diverse work group, including faculty, staff, and students.
Experience in key and door security ordering, billing and installation procedures.
Experience in utility billing.
Experience in OSEH rules as they pertain to public facilities, work spaces, fitness centers, and kitchen operations strongly preferred.
Ability to adhere to project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented, flexible and customer-service oriented manner
Proven ability to successfully interact with a diverse group of people
Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
Experience Working experience with Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word.
Previous database and spreadsheet management skills strongly preferred.
Record of good attendance and punctuality a must.
Knowledge of university policies, procedures and practices desired.
Some college or trade school preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Requires the ability to travel to various locations to conduct work and deliver materials
The person in this position occasionally moves through the facility to attend meetings/events and access files or information
The person in this position routinely moves books and class materials weighing up to 80 pounds to class locations or other venues for student residencies or other events.
Domestic travel may be required
Will require work during early mornings, nights, and/or weekends
Will require on-call hours
