Automation & Development Manager will manage the Energy Management 24 Hour Office. They will monitor, troubleshoot and program the campus Energy Management System (350,000 points) along with tracking all HVAC requests (3000 calls a month).
The Automation Development Manager is expected to keep current on evolving and new technologies to help lead new energy initiatives including the future upgrade/replacement and ways to help the University achieve its goal of carbon neutrality by 2040. They will design, produce, test, implement and maintain software systems under various application software languages, platforms and protocols to support the systems. The Automation and Development Engineer will provide advanced troubleshooting support for the Campus DDC/HVAC, lighting, and card access system via automation/web programming. They must be able to manage, engineer, and estimate DDC control projects on campus for Orange Automation. The Automation Development Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize the Energy Management System through new code requirements and engineering best practices. This Engineer evaluates and resolves any customer issues that have been escalated regarding building temperature and/or occupant comfort.
