Manage green building and wellness certification projects from inception through final certification using LEED or other green building or wellness certifications;
Ensure sustainability initiatives are integrated into project construction documents and specifications. Review and provide critical feedback on all project documentation including technical calculations;
Educate design team on sustainability requirements and contractors on submittal requirements for certifications;
Act as a primary client contact for select green building projects and ensure high-quality services are delivered in a timely and responsive manner;
As a member of GBS's professional team for administering operational Green Building services: develop deliverables, manage project schedules, lead project meetings, and facilitate communication throughout projects;
Manage GBS campus service reviews of projects (Harvard Green Building Standards). This entails assigning and tracking completion of the campus service reviews to GBS team members, managing the deadlines and managing communication with the campus service coordinator.
Lead or provide support on special projects (short and long-range), initiatives, and tasks as assigned
Develop, implement and maintain program-specific tools and templates;
Develop, implement and maintain green building educational materials.
Research emerging technologies and standards as needed; proactively study sustainability and technical materials to perform job;
Learn new technical skills and software and oversee training/education as needed
Organize and deliver training and best practice sharing events;
Participate as an active member of the overall GBS team, generally contributing to the well-being of the organization, including supporting other Campus Services efforts;
Technology Skills Required: Proficiency in MS Suite of Tools such as Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Access, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn software such as Revit, eQUEST, Energy Plus, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and others.

Minimum three years' work experience in sustainability;
Bachelor's degree in a technical field: engineering or architecture or construction management or building science or equivalent, related to the building industry
LEED AP BD+C or ID+C accreditation (or within 6 months of hire)
Demonstrated professional experience with building systems;
Demonstrated analytical experience;
Familiarity with design and construction processes;
Commitment and passion for sustainability;
Leadership management experience with green building certifications
Experience or technical understanding of whole building energy analysis
Experience with Life Cycle Assessments
LEED project management experience
In-depth knowledge of building systems and/or HVAC design experience
Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform under pressure in both an internal departmental contact and customer interaction. Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities;
Strong communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the capacity for developing and maintaining strong client relationships across a highly decentralized university management structure;
Excellent team skills, able to understand and synthesize the thoughts of others, able to work in a fast-paced, continually adapting work environment, and a very fast learner; strong social skills and emotional intelligence
