Assists with repairs, services and maintains heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) on all college campuses. Assists in the maintenance of campus facilities and grounds.

Chemeketa Community College is the third largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, with approximately 29,000 students enrolled from a diversity of backgrounds. Chemeketa has seven locations, Salem campus, Yamhill Valley campus, Brooks Regional Training facility, Woodburn center, Polk center, Center for Business & Industry and Viticulture at Eola. High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
Two years of full-time trades experience
Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, Refrigerant Handlers Certification (type I and II)
Basic math and writing skills
Functional knowledge of basic office software computer applications
Proficiency in navigating the internet and utilizing web-based applications
Understanding of simple schematic drawings, basic computer operation and data input
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following aptitudes: customer service and communication, following verbal and written instruction, basic grounds maintenance knowledge particularly related to weed control, an understanding of the IPM philosophy and an enthusiastic interest in contributing to its success
The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong work ethic and an ability to meet the physical strength and endurance requirements of the position
This position will assist other Facilities & Operations staff with various maintenance activities, and support various operations services and processes
