The Building and Grounds Superintendent is responsible for the management of buildings located at the Franklin and Suffolk campuses, along with the Center at Smithfield and the Workforce warehouse located in Franklin. The responsibilities included but are not limited to managing the personnel for maintenance, grounds including Athletic fields, and housekeeping. Plans, organizes, supervises and directs all functions of the physical environment functions for the college. Supervises the repairs, renovations, and general maintenance activities by allocating workloads within policy and budget constraints, estimate all procurement of materials. Maintains an attractive campus grounds including all athletic fields. Obtains quotes, prepares requisitions or bid specifications and evaluates bid proposals. Maintain a physical environment that is conducive to learning, is safe and secure from hazards, and adheres to all state, federal and other standards. Works with Public Safety Department to ensure staff are properly trained in all safety regulations and the college is within guidelines. Manage and maintain HVAC system through the established electronic monitoring system. Coordinate the required maintenance of the systems. Manage long-term contracts, prepare scope requirements, coordinate on-site visits and evaluate contractor. Maintain the policies and procedures for the physical environment components of the college. Manage SchoolDude for maintenance. Serve on the Presidential Advisory Council.

Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.
