Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Director of Facilities and Security is responsible for operating and maintaining a high-quality campus to enhance the Law School’s learning and working environment and includes the management of the buildings, grounds, physical plant, security, and information desk.
Specific responsibilities includes supervision of the custodial, information desk, maintenance and security teams; coordinating and completing all maintenance, landscaping, parking and other related facilities upkeep and improvement projects; facilities planning both short-and-long-term; provide leadership to ensure the campus learning and working environment is safe, accessible and secure; and develops and monitors the facilities related budgets.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in facilities management, building trades management, general construction and/or engineering, electrical, plumbing, and other support systems (may consider combination of education and experience). License: 1-C Boilers License (or must attain the license within 12-months of employment). Knowledge of: facility operations, planning, safety, and security principles, guidelines, and practices; energy management and HVAC Systems; fire and alarm systems; and requirements associated with Americans with Disabilities Act and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements. Demonstrated skills including: setting direction and participating as a team player; strong and effective interpersonal skills; collaborative working style; and ability to communicate and work with multiple constituencies across the school to ensure effective and efficient operations.
